Use scaled subject scores (after state scaling), not raw school marks. Raw marks will overestimate or underestimate ATAR.

Each authority uses different aggregation rules — we apply a simplified planning model for the option you choose, not an official UAC, VTAC, QTAC, TISC, or SATAC calculation. Generic mode uses best four in full plus 10% of a fifth only — not VTAC’s two-increment rule and not other states’ English, QCE, SATAC, or WACE rules. Pick your state for the right model.
Do not convert ATAR to US GPA (for example (ATAR ÷ 99.95) × 4), to an Australian university GPA, or to a UK degree classification. ATAR measures Year 12 cohort rank for tertiary entry; GPA and UK classes measure different things. There is no valid direct equivalency.
