Many universities use a 10-point CGPA (O = 10), but letter cutoffs and quality points differ by IIT, NIT, state university, and affiliated college.
CBSE board marks and university CGPA are separate systems. CBSE/UGC often uses Percentage ≈ CGPA × 9.5; Anna University and some campuses use ×10 or (CGPA − 0.75) × 10.
